Tower Hamlets Council Lutfur Rahman We hear so many times that consultations are not referendums. Unlike politicians who are elected with manifestos such as "we will make road use fairer for all" and then interpret that to mean they were elected to introduce LTNs, Lutfur clearly spelt out he'd remove LTNs and won.
Michele Ragusa Not one LTN was implemented with measurable KPIs, transparent metrics or even valid pre-introduction data by which performance, success or failure of the LTN could be judged. At best, pre- data is extrapolated, using data collected during the pandemic, which is almost irrelevant.
So our local LCC LTN residents who increased harm and danger upon Brownlow Road junction Bounds Green Road for personal gain are protesting about the danger on this junction 😳 the hypocrisy of these selfish people shows no end …. Will Jennings Will - as someone who doesn't run a car, and walks, cycles or rides buses every day around Streatham Hill and Brixton Hill, I find it possible BOTH to believe there should be fewer private car journeys AND that Lambeth have massively fucked up implementation of this latest LTN.

Mark Harper Susan Hall AM Neil Garratt AM Department for Transport Look!!👇👇 The LTN has been scrapped and immediately buses are moving, as are trucks, lorries, vans no longer stuck in gridlocked traffic. 👏👏 Please do the same for Lewisham, Hackney, Enfield, Southwark, Oxford, Bath, Birmingham…. It’s time to free us all from LTNs. 🙏🙏
Yesterday the Guardian's Peter Walker claimed a leaked version of Sunak's LTN review showed LTNs worked & were popular. Government has responded by saying Guardian had “selectively plucked” details from the study & not fairly represented “the very real concerns” it contained.
