Herne Hill Forum Chris French Marina Ahmad AM London Labour persisting with Borisโ€™ unjust LTN traffic relocation schemes despite the fact that thereโ€™s no robust evidence of any real modal shift away from cars/vans or significantโ€˜traffic evaporationโ€™ promised by LTN activists. Pupils mugged on 'ghost-town' LTN streets as they wait for buses that never come, due to LTN-created congestion.

Teachers do their best to protect them, with unpaid and hazardous patrols to keep watch for local gangs.

Potentially a new genre of dystopia!

Ben Page Visit Camberwell #AnalyseTrafficOrigin With #ANPR Hi Ben,

A key argument against LTNs is that they increase traffic on roads where people of colour are more likely to live, walk, shop, work, learn & play. x.com/sheridan100_a/โ€ฆ

Q. How many 'people of colour' were surveyed in the LTN review? Was it a representative survey?

On May 20th parliament debates LTNs. Ask your MP to attend. Janet Daby MP stated she received a large number of emails concerning Lewishamโ€™s LTN from those who oppose. Iโ€™m asking her to attend on behalf of these constituents. Rosamund Adoo-KD CBE FBSA Social Environmental Justice

Together The UK LTN Rรฉsistance I don't know anyone who wants hours of congested idling traffic where they live, shop, work or where children learn & play.
An attractive busy city does not have to be a gridlocked polluted city.
Low traffic where we live does not require people to live in a roadblock/LTN.

We donโ€™t agree with everything in Susan Hallโ€™s Manifesto, just published, but we warmly welcome her commitments on LTNs and floating bus stops.

Welcome statement. Councils must work with their communities on . The voices of children must be heard when 70% of collisions in which children are injured take place on roads which have a 30mph limit. Ken Skates MS Vaughan Gething Elin Jones CATRIN M S DAVIES @alun_williams

George Monbiot George, why have you ignored the obvious social, racial & environmental injustice of exporting traffic from roads with high car ownership onto community roads where poor people & people of colour are more likely to live, walk, shop, work, learn & play? ๐Ÿ˜ข

'An immediate turnover decline experienced' - Magdalen Road business survey, on the impact of the East Oxford LTNs.

When is Oxfordshire County Council going to accept that many local independent businesses cannot survive and thrive on local custom alone?

Sadly, there are individuals, groups & organisations using air pollution and climate change to progress their own agenda. They use the suffering of the most vulnerable to gain support for schemes like LTNs that worsens the status quo for those already most at risk.

Lawrence Davies andrenascotica.bsky.social Carlton Reid Iโ€™ll simplify things for you.

- Averages hide extremes.

This is unfair.

- LTNs displace traffic from a great number of relatively quiet rds to a few already worse off ones.
Essentially benefitting some, to the detriment of others.

This is unfair, unhealthy, unjust.
