Why are Residential Main Roads not seen as ‘neighbourhood’ or residential roads by Council? Are we not part of the neighbourhood? Main road residents matter.

Everyone wants low traffic where they live but only a few would seek to export traffic from their road to their neighbours.
But if you call a traffic relocation scheme a 'low traffic neighbourhood (LTN)' you might get 45% support from those inside the LTN. x.com/LittleNinjaUK/…

Genuine question.

Would Hackney people (and indeed anyone) want to be represented by a parliamentarian who swears in public?

Please discuss.

I read the article.

I still have no idea what Caroline Woodley has done for Hackney in her first 100 days in office.

Guess her question “what have I done?” was a rhetorical one.

Thanks to low traffic schemes, which benefit only select groups of very lucky people, bus journey times are often twice as long as they used to be, cars having been forced on to the main road.

But that doesn't stop me from seeing the inequity of LTNs and realising there are better and fairer ways to increase active travel

'Meeting its objectives so far.'
Does that mean this LTN intended to put an extra 5k vehicles on already busy roads?
Acre Lane: +561 vehicles a day
King's Avenue: +855 vehicles a day
A23: +969 vehicles a day
A205: +2903 vehicles a day

Shocking that this is seen as a positive.

Louise Krupski are you saying families who live on/up to 500m from the S Circular support the terrible LTN in Lee Green? As my councillor you are not interested how it impacts red route communities like ours. Exposure to air pollution isn’t about surveys but inequality in health

Hugely important that the suspension of the Streatham Wells LTN is not a one-off but the start of a process of removing LTNs. This is Hackney 3 years on. This is totally unacceptable.

It's takes your breathe away. The day after Lambeth was forced to suspend Streatham Wells LTN, the poster boy of LTNs, Peter Walker, recycles the old story of Rachel Aldred research identifying the health & economic benefits of LTNs. What of course Aldred didn't do is assess

Shocking formal letter to their constituents from a Member of Parliament, not a local councillor.

Suggests to me that the Labour Party line is to lie.
