LTN madness must STOP.
Council elites divide communities so already quiet roads become dead zones while those around suffer bottleneck congestion.

H&F Council needs to step in to help businesses on Wandsworth Bridge Road.

Businesses are suffering from the side-effects of the Council’s South Fulham LTN and from the closure of Hammersmith Bridge.

The Council shouldn’t wait for more businesses to close - action this day!

The infrastructure supporting our greenwashing camera schemes which earn £15M a year for H&F Council is useless. 70% of all fines are cancelled. These fines are wrongly issued to visitors who then don’t come back to see our businesses. We call on Mark Harper to remove our LTNs

WarFrog Bob From Accounts 🚲 Yes, ppl on low incomes suffer most from traffic. These ppl live on the busiest rds.
That’s where the priority should lie to reduce traffic.
LTNs by design do the opposite and increase traffic on the already busiest rds and exacerbate pollution for the most vulnerable.

WarFrog Bob From Accounts 🚲 Have you actually read my response?

LTNs displace all motor traffic to other roads.

Virtually all roads in London are residential. Even the ‘main’ roads.

Are you saying their residents are not part of the neighbourhood they live in?

Around 5m people in UK don't have internet access, let alone smartphones

A 'Digital Pound' will just exclude older, less tech-savvy, vulnerable people from society further

Who actually benefits from this expensive elite project Bank of England HM Treasury @rishisunak?

Dangerous cyclists who kill or seriously injure others should face the same penalties as other road users.

Today I have agreed a way forward to ensure the Criminal Justice Bill contains powers to hold irresponsible cyclists to account, paving the way for even safer streets.(1/4)

LTNs Low Traffic Neighbourhoods

Nail on the head. Unjust, unfair, clog up roads that of course are residential.
Hackney is the blueprint for nationwide misery wherever these schemes are implemented.

WarFrog Bob From Accounts 🚲 Because LTNs invariably displace all motor traffic to roads already busier than the LTN roads.

In urban settings these busier roads are usually highly residential.

Bob From Accounts 🚲 Now you’re just being silly.

You know very well I’m consistent in my LTN criticism. The crux of it is always the same.

LTNs favour those already better off (traffic/pollution wise) at the expense of others.

That’s unjust.

No matter how much social housing is involved.

Cllr Emily Kerr 💚 You borrow club cars? They are not safety checked between rents? Happy to be proved wrong.
Rental cars have inspections and safety checks between rentals.

Independent Oxford Alliance This is already de facto what happens. My town and county councillor have blocked me from their Facebook pages which is where they update on civic matters. All for… disagreeing with them. It’s a problem. I have a complaint in with the monitoring officer. Layla Moran 🔶🕊️

Comment piece today in The Telegraph regarding new vexatious policy.
“In this particular case, I’ll hazard a guess that Oxford City Council is feeling the wrath of people who can’t or won’t do what the council wants them to do, and abandon their cars to walk or get on a bike.
