It's possible and very convenient for coffee & cake, as even cafes close down in inner cities areas, or reopen underneath churches.
Come on Hackney Council you can do better.…..visited Shoreditch park for the first time since the revamp. All that time and money and you did not think the central smooth pathway would become a race track for ebikes. 🤦🏽 You are truly lost to the LCC.
SueH Haringey Cycling Haringey Council These “newer LTNs” make some communities safer & healthier at the expense of the residents living on the streets (usually residential ‘main’ roads) where all traffic is now funnelled to. Are these residents (like myself) not part of the community? Do we not matter?
Evan Driscoll SueH Haringey Cycling Haringey Council Apparently not, according to Sue… Evan🤦🏻
Today I saw Paul O' Brien driving into residential roads using them as short cuts ….these LTN advocates continue to drive cars on short journeys using other residential roads as short cuts to get to destinations. Better Streets for Enfield you continue to promote your members driving …..

All these are options: increase the current average bus speed from 9mph and halve bus fares? Reduce tube fares to the European average? Speed up the time it takes to build trams lines and bring the cost of building them down to the cost in most

Cllr Katherine Dunne (((Rezina))) 🌹🐝 Labourstone You’re aware Lambeth Labour (((Rezina))) 🌹🐝 are pushing thru Boris’ LTN traffic relocation schemes in the full knowledge all their schemes displace traffic onto surrounding roads and few, if any, have majority community support, right? Social Environmental Justice Louise Haigh Private Eye Magazine
Many London Councils hve colluded with developers,NIMBYs & groups incl Sustrans, London Cycling Campaign to design a city around the WANTS of fit, wealthy 30-somethings,many w/out kids, instead of the NEEDS of less affluent & vulnerable folk. You reap what you sow Social Environmental Justice
Clair Mayor of Hackney Meg Hillier Increased car ownership of residents inside LTNs, increased traffic on LTN boundary roads, Increased congestion and increased vehicle emissions like CO2, NO2 and PM2.5 where the public walk, cycle, wait for buses, shop, work and children learn & play. #HealthyStreets BBC Health News
Another congested lunchtime high means the children at our local primary school are having a triple helping of exhaust fumes for afters. Why is it wrong to have traffic at William Patten school but OK for the less advantaged children at Mossbourne? Caroline Woodley Guy Nicholson
FYI James McAsh 70% of c1000 Londoners who may/may not have personal experience of LTNs liked the ‘idea’ of them which doesn’t equate to a majority of 9m Londoners ‘backing’ them.Wasn’t Dulwich LTN traffic relocation scheme rejected at consultation but rammed thru anyway? #factscount
Jester mouse 🐭 You say "Interesting you don’t think local residential streets should be managed for local residents", yet you don't think local residents should be allowed to drive on local streets. You can explain away the injustices of LTNs with your love of data but they're still unjust.
Little Ninja UK Jester mouse 🐭 Hey Jester mouse 🐭 I’ve seen your sort … supporting intention harming of poorer communities for your hobby … I’m a cyclist that against your car loving LTN advocates schemes Stop killing us calling it a solution
Lambeth Council ‘s latest LTN propaganda ignores 1) last traffic counts for 2020 LTNs were in spring 2021,a Covid year 2) Even then it was clear that ALL their schemes displace traffic onto surrounding roads 3) Few if any LTNs have community support moderngov.lambeth.gov.uk/documents/s158…
