Oaks d'Italia winner ZOMARADAH (Deploy x Jawaher) dam of the great Dubawi was by a son of Slightly Dangerous out of a daughter of Dancing Brave. Slightly Dangerous mated with Dancing Brave produced Epsom Derby & Irish Derby winner Commander In Chief.

Steve Parry on 5Live Sport just declared GB pound for pound the best sporting Olympic nation.
Also asserts USA population is over 500million (it is 341million)
Nothing like a bit of hyperbole…

Good thread Helen, 1st came across Kevin via The Manics. Also got me thinking about Tim Hetherington and the excellent Sebastian Junger doc “Which Way Is the Front Line From Here?”

Caution advised when walking either along the top of Devil’s Dyke (esp from the July Course toward A14) & between The Ditches as there is way too much dog 💩.
It’s really not acceptable but people DGAF it seems.

Lovely walk around racecourse side yesterday. Plenty of Willow Warblers, Chiff Chaff & the Lesser Whitethroat in the same place again, also a lovely Yellowhammer, Sky Larks & a pair of Curlew amongst others.

Wicken Fen between downpours. A mate picked me up for a little birding yesterday. Devils Dyke provided a new lifer in a Lesser Whitethroat & the hide near Cock-Up bridge gave us a wonderfully bright Yellow Wagtail, caught in the ☀️.
Marvelous
