Turnstone, Rectory Pit, Etton, Cambs this afternoon, doing what they do. We’ve been spoilt with this species in our area this year, but always nice to see them inland Cambs Bird Club

Some more patch gold today at Grantchester, when this smart pair of Garganey dropped onto the River Cam.
Thought I'd listened to one too many recordings when I first heard the brushing-a-comb calls downriver - unexpected 109th species for the site for me Cambs Bird Club

Look at these beauties 😍
A Whinchat and a Wheatear travelling through the farm together early this morning. Initially found in the same bush it didn't take them long to find our beetle bank!

Since moving to Sutton I've adopted the Earith end of the Ouse Washes as my regular patch. Today it yielded one of my target find ticks: Bar-tailed Godwit! πŸ˜€ Makes up for the bitterly cold winds of the last few days! Cambs Bird Club

A great day birding with some year and patch ticks in the bag. Caught up with a Sandwich Tern and Barwit at RSPB Fen Drayton reserve. Wheatear, Bearded Tit, Redpoll and finally a Crane at RSPB Ouse Fen. Almost fell over a Bittern at one point too! Cambs Bird Club

Wicken Fen between downpours. A mate picked me up for a little birding yesterday. Devils Dyke provided a new lifer in a Lesser Whitethroat & the hide near Cock-Up bridge gave us a wonderfully bright Yellow Wagtail, caught in the β˜€οΈ.
Marvelous

Geat walking around RSPB Ferry Lagoon Fen Drayton - so many birds to see and hear between the showers. Heard first cuckoo and saw first sand martins darting across the water (terrible shot on right in middle). Godwits distant but still here too! Cambs Bird Club
