Here's what's gone wrong for the Conservative party.

They didn't adopt austerity in 2010 because the economy needed it. They adopted it because it allowed them to do an ideological shrinkage of the state, while blaming Labour. Austerity wasn't economics, it was pure politics.

This is amazing research!

Anyone we deport to Rwanda must be given some form of Rwandan ID under our agreement with them.

But the agreement also says that it doesn't apply to people with Rwandan ID.

So if they leave Rwanda, and come back to the UK... You fill in the punchline.

Our new 'Being Roman' series kicks off on Tuesday morning, BBC Radio 4 at 9.00 am, & on BBC Sounds, with a Roman whistleblower (who called out savage Roman reprisal after the revolt of Boudicca). Here's is tombstone, and we can find out quite a bit more.

This is correct. You can question his policy record and proposals, but he's been a consummate and dignified professional. He loves and represents the diversity of the city he leads.

I would go further.

If you convert Khan's lead into Japanese Yen and map it against the inflation adjusted price of short grain rice in Latin America from 1967-69 then, assuming Mercury remains in retrograde and the Yankees win the World Series, it's a tough day for Labour.

In the North East London constituency the 'Britain First: No to Immigration' candidate was beaten by the Animal Welfare Party, Count Binface, and a random independent.

God I love my city.

Number 1 issue for Con voters (c.25% max of voters)
Number…9? Among Labour voters (c.45% of electorate).
By pumping this issue up Cons have enabled Reform surge while swing voters just see a party talking to themselves, out of touch with their concerns.

In short, ignoring the small print & including gold makes it look like we're becoming LESS reliant on EU as a goods destination: the ratio of goods exports to the EU goes down from 51% in 2013 to 47% in 2023.
In fact, excluding gold flows, the ratio went UP from 48.2% to 48.5%!

But now adjust for those two things (as you really should) and look again at the green bars. Far from going up and up, they're actually drifting lower (ignore the pandemic).
Non-EU goods exports are going down.
So too are EU goods exports.
And, crucially, the gap is narrower...
