Children are exposed to five times more #airpollution during the #schoolrun. Highest level on main roads & near #idling vehicles = stunted lung & brain growth😱

Roger Harrabin Andrew Gilligan As an investigative journalist, what are your views on the decision of the polling organisation (or commissioners) to only ask those inside LTNs for their views? Are we comfortable ignoring the views of those experiencing boundary effects? And are we monitoring health outcomes?

What’s important now is senior Drs continue to raise the alarm as the gap in inequality in health continues to widened sadly. The NHS is overwhelmed.

The council would be better banning wood burning but they can’t upset their middle classes voters who’ll turn against them when they’re stuck in traffic.
Walking is up, despite reduced pedestrian phasing to accommodate LTNs, & reduced footway to accommodate cycleways. Cycling is down, despite £billions of investment in one approach to cycling infra. The message cannot be clearer. via @gwyntopham The Guardian theguardian.com/uk-news/articl…

Hackney & Tower Hamlets already had oversized LTN road clogging monsters pre-covid. Injustice also affects residents, cyclists & bus users reliant on roads receiving LTN traffic.
Possible Congestion is up vs 2019, but traffic is down. The only vehicles increasing in London are cars/PHVs. Damian Carrington It's almost as if an organisation - let's call them Dossible - got funding to funnel local private car traffic onto public transport routes. inrix.com/press-releases…
Little Ninja UK Possible Here is an example of a historic, heavily residential road that never had problems with congestion or a high number of HGVs until Hackney Council decided to gift richer folk on already quieter roads LTNs. We now face ⬆️danger,⬆️pollution⬆️noise. This is not green and not healthy.
Meeting Sir Michael Marmot is life changing. We discussed the state of our children’s health & the impact air pollution is having on the population’s health. Of cause we discussed LTNs and the plight of those on red routes.
