As if the record & weren't bad enough for , large areas have a UV index of ~15. To put that in context, a UV Index reading of 11 or higher puts you at very high risk for sunburn, with damage occurring in less than 10 minutes if you are not protected.

Coal is gone in UK electricity generation. Fossil gas is next.

For the first time wind and solar generated more electricity than gas (first 5 months of 2024).

Met a lovely Scottish lady on the bus.
She was singing! Had a nice voice, & I said so.
We started chatting and she said, All this election stuff! I don’t like Sunak or Starmer.

I said, Me neither.

Then I did it. I bit the bullet:
‘And that Nigel Farage is a worry too…’

There are some lies here that have pulled their boots on, so it’s time, wearily, to set off after them. What is this “positive action” that they are talking about? /1

Construction sites have a better safety record than roads because they *don't* leave it to individuals to 'make personal choices for their own safety'.
They implement the hierarchy of safety controls, where PPE is lodged firmly at the bottom beneath measures that remove hazards.
