Standing Stones aren’t always hiding in the wilderness, sometimes they’re part of our everyday street furniture like Maen Llwyd stone which is now sited on a traffic island!

At the weekend I made a long overdue trip to see the rare survivor Caer Leb on Ynys Môn/Anglesey - a lowland Iron Age/Romano-British defended farm in a very wet position

Excavations in 1866 produced evidence for RB buildings ⤵️

Evening sunlight last week on the spectacular tomb of Maen Ceti or Arthur's Stone on Cefn Bryn, Gower.

Twin chambers were formed by hollowing out the ground beneath a massive glacial erratic, which subsequently split sometime in the past.
