An amazing photo of the *Grimes Graves Venus* in situ from the 1939 dig ๐Ÿคฉ

Sadly, seems to have been a fraud, perhaps intended to confirm a date for the flint mines ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡

Dr Jennifer Wexler ITV Anglia were there too but I can't find their piece on their local evening show so I'm not sure when it's going out. There was an interesting bit about the band Dr Feelgood though - 10 mins in: itv.com/watch/news/catโ€ฆ Dan Herbert

โ€œThe people shout in triumph, and with Boadicea at their head, they march away.โ€
Whatever the faults of this Victorian book illustration, I love the epic drama of it & the towering figure of Boudica rousing her army to battle. Be epic this .

Reminded of this & still think it's valid:

What if miniature shields, cauldrons etc (like this shield from Netherhampton hoard - BM1998,0401.20, left) were made from pieces of bigger shields & cauldrons (like Chiseldon, BM2007,8034.100, 3rd pic)?

'Dystopian Thames Estuary' as a prompt in Adobe Firefly. I can see why people get sucked in to this stuff , but I'll keep the misread fingerposts, and muddy feet of the meatworld. Adventure. Surprises. Authenticity.

Whats brown & sticky?...Yep, prehistoric glue
(its a v. dark brown, honest)

Glue use in prehistory stretches back to our Neanderthal cousins over 50,000 years ago. When coupled with some replica tools to haft, it makes an excellent display piece!
