I'm coming to Norwich Castle
on Friday 19 July as part of the Historic Building Mythbusting book tour. As a castles specialist it will be a proper treat to speak at a site founded during the early Norman period 🤓🏰📚
Tickets are now available here:

Excavation of the “Sunray” or shell mosaic at Verulamium, 1930, from a sheet of amateur snaps. Lexi Diggins #Dig4Arch might like this - a very similar book of snaps is on display in her super Women Doing Everything exhibition St Albans Museums

By far the best thing about yesterday’s 1974 Playmobil find has to be the rescue trampoline…and the respirators!!!!🤩 The set is ALMOST complete, just a couple of minor items to pick up.
When Playmobil Nero begins fiddling, these guys will be ready.

After work slurp, Aug 1996. One for Richard Mortimer - lovely photo of Tash, who I have to say, doesn’t seem to have aged more than a couple of days in the last 3 decades; likewise Phil. Sadly, I fear Time has been less kind to the callow, beardless youth at the end.
