With NHS England’s recent instruction that ALL aspects of a PAs work must be supervised by a GP;
Surely that means they can’t be doing home visits or rounds at nursing homes without a GP present with them, no? 🤔
Welcome words, and the BMA has already produced a comprehensive scope for MAPs.
The Royal College of Physicians must now endorse it, so we can begin to reverse the destruction of standards of medical practice they’ve presided over.
The profession has spoken very clearly indeed on this.

Their president was invited to a AoMRC meeting, from which the BMA was excluded.
Every time doctors have been asked, we’ve said PAs are unsafe, and they make our jobs harder.
