I think this is a really odd position to take Alastair Alastair McLellan
As an *individual* (who is also married to a nurse) I have on many occasions 'mentioned' the dispute with nurses. More importantly, I genuinely don't know a *single doctor* that does not support all nurses inโฆ
Dr Tony Goldstone Alastair McLellan I'm married to a radiographer
We have absolute solidarity with all our colleagues from Band 1 to Band 9

Alastair McLellan The RCN Does the BMA represent nurses?
What about the radiographers and unite who both rejected pay award for 23/24 and I think remain in dispute?
What about unisonโs disputes up and down the country on bandings 2/3?
Are we expected to list every dispute in the health service?
Dr Tony Goldstone Wes Streeting MP If services canโt look after the health of their own practitioners who deliver care then it would be a sad state of affairs. It is really important that this promise is kept.
Thank you Wes Streeting MP
This is what is needed ๐, a clear commitment to the long term future of this vital service

Nice to receive my first 24/25 payslip during BMA Pensions Committee national committee meeting... grateful my contribution is now down to 12.5%
[but still too high.... in a CARE scheme we should generally paying the same contribution to buy the same pound of pension]
Dr Tony Goldstone BMA Pensions Committee Vishal Sharma Krishan Aggarwal Work to be done
Noticed the slight bump in pay along with the NI cut
Every little helps, but #FPR is what DDRB need to deliver
Or else...
Dr Tony Goldstone BMA Pensions Committee Vishal Sharma Krishan Aggarwal Completely agree Tony. Still trapped at 13.7% up here. Not reduced yet but the new taxes rises came through on time.

Dr Tony Goldstone Sadly on my way out too, I agree more must be done to retain and value staff. There is no doubt that both the current working climate/ delivery challenges, and cost of living all play a role. Situation much worse for doctors in training in all aspects
๐ข โThe UK must do more in general to retain doctors and other healthcare staff. Pay restoration is part of it. But so is seriously reconsidering the rapid expansion of MAPs. Without addressing retention issues, people will weigh up various factors and many will decide to leaveโ
