The State paid for my free school meals, to treat me in hospital without delay and to send me to university, with no fees to pay and a full grant. The tax I've paid subsequently has far exceeded those costs. So why aren't these things available to the next generation?

I know The Labour Party has its reasons for abstaining on this Bill, but they aren't coherent. Sometimes you just have to act on your principles and stop something that is wrong. Winning a GE and being in Govt, but having left all your principles behind, is useless for the rest of us.
