The Greater Cambridge Partnership want you to believe the maintenance road to maintain the C2C bus road is *critical*, to prevent delays. Use the bus delay simulator here and judge for yourself if a huge chunk of £197 million is proportionate and justified. zone-of-contention.uk/c2c-busway-mai…

If The Labour Party are looking to save money, culling the Greater Cambridge Partnership would save at least £200 million. Projects not yet under physical construction should be stopped. They are broke anyway, avoid a huge future debt too.

If The Labour Party want to save £100m+, then they should look at the Greater Cambridge Partnership C2C busway scheme as easy pickings. Alternative on road route would save well over £100m. Have lower emissions, and save green belt and wildlife sites. Scrap the GCP and save way more than that.

If Rachel Reeves wants a quick win to save £100m+ …. The GCP has overcommitted funds by £10’s millions. They are, in effect, broke. With the council expected to fill the black holes on projects. They need to go.

Trip down Histon Road today. Amazed to see so many sunken manholes and drain covers, plus many already repaired. One section of road seems to be collapsing too. Expect similar for the Greater Cambridge Partnership Milton Road works. Who will pay for the repairs?

The Cambridge City Council and South Cambridgeshire District Council Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) survey is almost impossible to comment on. Obviously not planning for many responses, it is truly horrible. Interesting CIL money is to bail out the GCP too.
