Removing barriers to employment –especially for people facing multiple barriers– is a key priority of mine as Minister. Great to speak at the World Supported Employment Conference to share the work being done in BC in supportive employment & learn from partners across the world.

We did it! Bill C-22 has received Royal Assent and the Canada Disability Benefit Act is now law. Now the work begins to design a Benefit that meets the needs of the disability community. I know we will get this done, together. Here are the next steps.

We welcomed Yat Li for an internal 3Play keynote. Yat shared his story and perspective on living with a disability, how he overcame challenges associated with it, and how our roles in accessibility directly impact end users.

For the first time, the 2024 Stanley Cup Final will offer an alternate broadcast in American Sign Language. "NHL in ASL" will feature live Deaf broadcasters, available on ESPN+ and SportsNet+ for each game.
