6. He will feel curiously at peace giving money away to those more "useful" or deserving. i.e Billy/Honey. Nigel. He will try one attempt. His mood will appear improved but he will decend into psychosis. A safer, happier place. peggy etc appear to him. #EastEnders

5. The things that make him 'him' are eroded. His mum, his past is a painful echo. So as his world fragments, so does his mind. The thing he fears most is pity. When has he EVER asked for help? For anything? Never. So when Nigel appears he feels useful. Briefly. #EastEnders

4. He made the decision to end his life before Nigel arrived. All of his protective factors. The things that keep his ego intact are gone. Ben. He couldn't save him. He's not needed there. Sharon. She doesn't need him.Tommy. Kat. Billy, Raymond Etc. He's dispensible #EastEnders

3. They themselves fade out. It doesn't slap people in the face. It creeps. It builds. Its been building since imo before Ben was arrested. Phil needs to be needed. Whether as tough enforcer, father, lover, business man, alpha male. He fixes things. Its what he needs #EastEnders

2. Of rather "keystone cops" slines of Cindy, Bianca in a garage etc have been chaotic around him, Phil has been quietly on the edges. Disappearing. Depressions like that. It creeps up insidiously. It makes the sufferer view all around them as manic/chaotic whilst #EastEnders
