I've helped a young woman fill in her PIP paperwork recently. I had to bring her to my office as her anxiety was so acute she couldn't travel alone. She was sexually abused by her uncle in childhood. She waited 6 years to be inside a courtroom. Her anxiety was crippling.

What a dream. The only good news for NHS staff since 2020.

And I was only able to make any headway in recovery because I was able to get private therapy for the PTSD that was ruining my life. I find it astonishing that ministers seem to think the therapy will magically appear or people will just realise they’ve been imagining they are
