While some will welcome the de-faithing of Scotland, others recognise that something incredibly important is being lost.
But that aside I’ve no problem being in the minority. Who wants to be one of the sheep and just along with what ‘everyone else’ thinks anyway?

On this day, proud to be part of the Church of Scotland as it speaks out loudly and clearly against the deportation to Rwanda scheme. If that was the only issue up for grabs at the upcoming election, it would be enough on its own to allow me to determine how to cast my vote.

Just listened to superb presentations from Rt Rev Dr Shaw J Paterson of Church of Scotland and Donald Macaskill of Scottish Care and Professor John Swinton #purplebikes about how we value older people and enhance old age, not least in care homes. Dignity of all human beings front and centre.

Is that what humans do best… exploit? Tremendous technical and scientific know-how allowing us to do to space what we’ve done to the planet?

In what version of the world might this be remotely fathomable?

I’m intrigued by the rumpus around Keir Starmer and the Labour rebellion over what The Labour Party policy should be - calling for a ceasefire or not.
No one in the Israeli government or in Hamas will be the slightest interested in Labour’s view.

The level of bitter vitriol and division is absolutely frightening - it defies the optimistic, evolutionary notion that we humans are ‘improving.’
