This is respectful discourse as two Canadians.

Imagine if instead of building campus encampments, harassing and intimidating Jewish students and educators in schools, celebrating the Oct 7 massacre, we could speak about trauma and hold a space for Zionism and for social justice.

This is exactly right. You don’t “make Canada the freest country on earth” by pledging to undermine individual human rights. There is nothing consistent or principled about Poilievre’s ethic. He is focused on only one thing: attaining power at all costs. It’s dangerous.

This was actually my starting point into housing research. In my master’s thesis (U of T 1988) I wondered why ‘planning for violence prevention’ was all about street lights, rather than affordable housing & local women’s services. 36 years later, still wondering.

The select-over-elect model is undemocratic, especially as we are not even half-way through this municipal term. Yes, by elections cost money, but it’s worth it to have democratically elected representatives. cbc.ca/news/canada/ot…

Andrew knows perfectly well that it's not about the use of the word.

It's about the fact that it was directed at a fellow parliamentarian, something that clearly breaches parliamentary protocol, and Poilievre refused to withdraw it when asked.

This isn't complicated.

FALSE: Poilievre was expelled because he disobeyed the authority of the Chair by refusing to withdraw unparliamentary language. He knew he'd be expelled if he refused. 👇Contains a lie. 👇

The most pernicious piece of pseudoscience served up to the public in recent memory is that of 'immunity debt'. To be blunt: children keep getting pneumonia because they keep getting Covid-19.

Pierre Poilievre called Prime Minister Trudeau a “wacko”. Any journalist who pretends that’s within the rules of the House of Commons is incompetent or lying.

And now he's lying about it... it's right there on the record for all to see but he knows his core audience will only listen to him, not the facts. This is a dangerous demagogue's game he's playing. x.com/althiaraj/stat…
