Statistics Canada has just released a new report on evictions in Canada, which shows that #evictions are on the rise. Mirroring BSH research, evictions for sale, landlord-use or renovation are now the top reason for eviction, not non-payment of rent.

A promising announcement is the Canadian Renters’ Bill of Rights. It's critical for the gov't to develop this w/ renter communities & orgs. If done right, it could provide a Canada-wide standard to help ensure all renters have the right to fair rents & protection from eviction.
