To prevent further spread of the Delta variant, the CDC updated its mask guidance to recommend fully vaccinated people wear masks indoors when in areas with "substantial" and "high" transmission of Covid-19, which includes nearly two-thirds of US counties. cnn.it/3l3BPSk

Updated @CDC guidance on masks is confusing. The “high risk” areas are those with people unaccepting of masks. In light of #variants and potential transmission by #vaccinated individuals masks indoors should be universal

The playbook of 2021 is different to 2020. 2020 about buying time for science. 2021 about sustainable exit. Vaccines are the game-changer towards pivoting from no cases (ideal pre-vaccine) to managing Covid through vaccines, testing & caution. fortune.com/2021/08/24/sin…

You don’t have to like Indian food or spices but to call “curry” a spice is ignorant at best. The Washington Post and Gene Weingarten should know better. A lesson in Indian cooking - Indian spices are not “curry” and all Indian food are not “curries”. Thanks Padma Lakshmi.

We have now lost more people from COVID-19 in the US than we did from the Spanish Flu in 1918. Amazingly, w/ over 675k people gone, we still have so-called leaders not taking this seriously. They’d rather ban masks & vaccines than take reasonable steps to solve the problem.

Why health insurance is not a good idea when it comes to resource mobilisation: "...the reforms are anchored in the fundamental assumption that financing will be obtained primarily through premium contributions, which is not a good idea." Edwine Barasa businessdailyafrica.com/bd/economy/the…
