3 years ago, the government apologised to rape survivors for systematically failing them and promised change. So why are we still having to campaign for the justice system to stop harming survivors? The government must address the court backlog and #KeepCounsellingConfidential!

It takes a huge amount of strength to report to the police - we know the vast majority of those impacted by rape never will. To report a rape and not have it charged is devastating. Survivors deserve more.

A free legal advice service for victims of rape and serious sexual offences has been launched by the Mayor of London. The pilot will run until June 2025. Referrals to the new service would come via ISVA’s based at the London Survivors Gateway.bbc.com/news/articles/…
