🧵Here's why this matters - a lot: victims of rape and sexual assault consistently tell us that in the aftermath of assault, they need support. They need to be believed. They often want and need justice - through accountability for the perpetrator.

We hope this much-needed change in law will better protect survivors' counselling notes, raising the legal threshold for when survivors’ notes can be requested by the police.
