Michaelis-Guttman bodies abound in this case of malakoplakia from Dr. Valencia's unknowns this week. (There is also low-grade papillary urothelial carcinoma, but the malakoplakia was more photogenic)

The gloms in this case of post-infectious glomerulonephritis are packed with neutrophils! You'll also see endocapillary hypercellularity and sometimes crescents on light microscopy.

Not often you get to see lymphoma on electron microscopy.

This medical renal biopsy was involved by a follicular lymphoma (it lacked the usual architecture but had the same immunotype as the pt's known lymphoma).

An unexpected etiology of a previously unexplained AKI in a 50 y/o patient.

IHC: CD45 to confirm hematolymphoid origin before shipping it off to our #hemepath colleagues! Dx: DLBCL.

Osteosarcoma can be tricky. This one showed a fibroblastic morphology with only very focal osteoid. The SATB2 clinched the diagnosis!

This spinal mass was a tough case (at least for me). The first two pics show a poorly diff component adjacent to a more mod diff area (this area stained positive with brachyury on the biopsy).

Signed out as dedifferentiated chordoma. Very cool.
