Are we really a nation of nature lovers? I mean deep down, in a personal, committed way? Or is the UK's renowned ‘love’ for nature more conceptual and theoretical than out there in the real world? Thread 1/8 👇

Vote for a charity! Please nominate Curlew Action though the link below 🙏 We could win a £1000 prize, which is a lot of money for a tiny charity like ours. It will go a long way to helping us do what we do for curlews, their habitats and nature education. Thank you!

My article on the #GCSENatHist in British Wildlife Mag. The green light for the GCSE represents a once in a lifetime opportunity to put nature in the limelight, so what I say below comes from the heart after thinking about and working on this for 14 years.

Get your MP to sign this edm.parliament.uk/early-day-moti… it will take them 30 seconds and could make all the difference to swifts.

A case of wanton destruction of one of our vital wildflower verges in Norfolk, right when our pollinators are at their peak. No sightline issues, no need for flailing prior to a harvest & certainly no reason to cut down flowers in full bloom. Norfolk County Council is this a protected verge?
