Bipolar & PTSD are not "inner demons” That’s archaic language that frames mental illness/trauma as being possessed by evil spirits We demonize brave women while they live and then saint them when they die Let’s honor Sinead by honoring our next inconvenient prophet in real time

The criteria for diagnosis for a neurodivergent condition are not the same as its symptoms or experiences. Diagnostic criteria are meant to help differentiate between conditions, not capture every possible experience of living with it

The most profound part of Barbie IMO was when she saw the “Miss Universe” billboard and said, “oh look the supreme court!” bc it did not occur to her that women who are beautiful and look “sexy” could not be simultaneously smart, respected, and incredibly accomplished.

Every results day I’m reminded that deaf students achieve a full grade lower than their hearing peers. This doesn’t tell us that deaf students are less academically able, it tells us that they’re continually let down by an inaccessible education system.

Asking me to estimate how long something will take is like asking me how many gumballs are in the jar, but I can’t see the jar.

One of my best friends in the world is struggling with addiction, again. Do you know what their main problem is? The drugs themselves. Not prohibition, not a poisoned supply, not stigma, not a lack of treatment resources, simply the ongoing compulsion to use drugs. 1/

Being ADHD and/or autistic can come with delayed processing, meaning it can take us just a bit longer to process and react to information. To cope, some ADHD and/or autistic people develop an 'automatic yes' or 'automatic no' response in the face of processing delays

Behind every great marketing campaign… There’s a person who gathered customer insight, tested stuff, failed, learned, and tried again smarter Overnight growth only exists in fairytales and Broetry

Autistic and ADHD people will be like, “hmm, I’m not certain, but I think…” after they’ve done 10+ hours of research on the subject and know more about it than most experts.

Netflix raising my sub price from $19.99 to $22.99. A bit funny. I know pricing, so I know leaving room for an eventual boost to $24.99/mo when I see it 😂

No, it’s far more deep than that. I think escapism is just failing. People are disconnected from the tools designed to keep them distracted. Nothing feels real or worthwhile anymore it’s like watching loading screens and waiting for something to feel capturing again.

Just a reminder that disabled people need rides to go grocery shopping, doctor’s offices, to the bar, to the cafe—not just to cast a ballot that impacts you.
