This is a big day for Labour. Not the commitment to CASD - which was always rock solid - but the cut-thru to the Mail and its readers. Labour is now the party of defence ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿฝ

The Good Friday Agreement, signed 26 years ago today, is one of Labourโ€™s proudest achievements.

Courageous leadership like Mo Mowlam's finally ended the Troubles, bringing peace to Northern Ireland.

We celebrate the progress made since then and must never take it for granted.

The way to solve the 'we have no policies and no vision' problem is not by going 'let's ban a load of stuff and see what happens'.

I don't think that kind of thing would play well amongst the wider public.

Weโ€™re concerned about these leaflets from the Conservative Party that some of our supporters are receiving through their doors.

Deceptive campaign practices can mislead the public during elections - and thatโ€™s not on. [1/2]

Lend me your vote, and I'll keep pushing for the progressive change our city needs.

We simply cannot allow the Tories to do to London what they've done to the country.

Four years ago, I became leader of the Labour Party - the honour of my life.

In that time, Iโ€™ve changed Labour so it is now back in the service of working people.

Now, Iโ€™m ready to fight for a Britain that serves you. And I wonโ€™t stop until you get it.

(((Dan Hodges))) Your statement here is not correct. Married couples have one main residence for CGT purposes. Whether *she* lived in Vicarage Road during the marriage isnโ€™t terribly relevant to the tax.

I set out the analysis here taxpolicy.org.uk/rayner

So what has Rayner actually done wrong?

Is there any substance to this story? Or is it the typical targeting of a working class woman who makes the establishment feel threatened?

LBC Jesus Christ, the generation that had no war, no student loans and decent housing at decent salary multiples thinks knocking a few quid off colossal student loans will entice the younger generation to fight for a country thatโ€™s shat all over them? Dream on.
