So many amazing opportunities provided in the South West for all things marine - bought my tickets for Conservation Chat UK Ltd's Blue Shark and Marine mammal talks coming up - so excited!!

On Wednesday Storm McClements, Laura Paling, and I were so lucky to meet the local diving legend Ray Ives, and get shown around his diving museum. Such an amazing place full of all sorts of treasure, and Ray is such an amazing character aswell!

We’re in Plymouth today at the University of Plymouth Marine Station with 70 new #citizenscientists learning how to identify & record #whales & #dolphins at sea 📝🐳⛴ If you’re here with us, we hope you have a great day!

Fascinating paper published today, describing potential cultural adaptation by sperm whales to threats from whaling vessels in 19th century. Profound implications for whales and the myriad pressures they face in the modern world theguardian.com/environment/20… royalsocietypublishing.org/doi/10.1098/rs…

Have you spotted the new Living Seawall panels at Plymouth Barbican? These panels are designed to increase habitat complexity and biodiversity by mimicking the structure of natural shorelines. Project led by University of Plymouth together with support from organisations across the world!

A beautiful Saturday spent at Wembury training with Devon Wildlife Trust to become a South Devon representative of the Marine Stranding Network. Big thank you to WemburyMarineCentre for delivering such an interesting and informative course highlighting the importance of strandings data! 🦭

Storm Ciaran is well on his way and will no doubt leave a trail of destruction in his wake! Please RT our flyer, funded by Sea-Changers, so you know who to call if you find a live or dead #marinestranding! @devonwildlife @cetaceanstrandings
