💰💰💰 What does £1m buy you in London? 💰💰💰 A dangerously defective debt trap, and an MP who would like to pretend the problem doesn't exist. This is Britain's broken new-build reality. Please share this video far and wide, maybe Keir Starmer will finally listen!

Agreed. When interest rates were 17% back in the late 70s, you could only borrow 2-2.5 times earnings. It was still tough as interest rate increased though.

I’m afraid this is all too common these days. Too many homes are built to a poor standard. For builders it is all about how much money they make.

Angus French Chris Blythe OBE Maybe not for a new-build. But I wonder why the lender's mortgage valuation survey didn't flag up such serious issues. I'm guessing it was just a desktop effort. I feel sorry for these people. This shouldn't be allowed to happen.

At one end is Grenfell Tower, at the other high priced new-build flats also full of defects, with once affluent trapped “owners” who can not sell. newstatesman.com/politics/socie…

Marcopolo Chris Blythe OBE UK new-build homes often suffer from poor quality due to high land costs, profit-driven developers cutting corners, shorter builder training (e.g., 20 months vs. 3 years in Germany), and lax regulations without mandatory licensing. Just a shame that the Olympic accommodation was built so poorly with the whole supply chain chasing profit over quality and safety. We need those responsible held accountable for such blatant disregard of taxpayer funding! #BuildingSafetyCrisis

A one shot message to Keir Starmer who’s constituency office can’t even get a response from Angela Rayner and Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Gov. If he can’t resolve one defective new build then why should the public trust The Labour Party can build 1.5m safe homes?

Richest was after a decade of hard work selling my business allowing myself and early team members to buy homes. Poorest is being trapped in my dangerously defective new home with a weak MP unwilling to stand up for his constituents.
