Patients need doctors
Doctors need jobs.
The govt will tell you that they have a Workforce Plan, that they are training more doctors, but
they don't apparently have a plan to employ them.
This is horrible for the doctors involved. What a stupid waste.

The number of training posts decreased by 5% this year.
Do not believe govt or NHS England when they say 'there just aren't enough doctors'
The problem is lack of funding to train and employ them.

What an exciting vision. So much potential to collaborate across Europe and beyond.

Well worth a read 👇. #GPIT is now so complex the market is inevitably skewed to big suppliers with clunky solutions. Lowering the bar for new solutions to evolve using #openEHR would let us escape this bind.

Really looking forward to this event. IMO this is our 'net-zero' challenge. It may take decades but if we do not start now we will be locked into a collapsing health IT market forever. Non-trivial but we have the tech and experience to start the journey.

My personal view on primary care IT. The centre should start building specific modules that can be integrated into existing primary care solutions, then overtime start replacing the systems by a national modularised platform. Bold change - but needed for modernisation.
