To the pediatricians telling children to lose weight or “watch” their weight, you are doing harm. Do better. Teach kids that weight gain is normal & needed w/development & puberty. That they can listen to their bodies. That bodies come in all sizes. That their bodies are good.

I’m so worried that we have #eatingdisorders teams where psychiatrists are only involved in a consultative capacity (if at all) Psychiatrists should be central to assessment, formulation & care. They should always be part of an eating disorders treatment team, not a luxury extra
