Here's another thing you need to know about the developer contract that Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities don't disclose.
It was written to specifically protect developers from paying for interim costs like waking watch, after lobbying from developers.

Vicky Spratt I am a shared owner. The combined increase of my rent + service charge by 'social' landlord L&Q is 17.4%. No one seems to have a problem with that.

Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities Please can you also prevent them from operating in the public sector? Willmott Dixon haven’t signed but are working on schools and other publicly funded projects. They shouldn’t receive a penny of public money after the disgraceful trail of flammable flats they’ve built.

Maybe Home BuildersFed HBF should consider the lives their members have turned upside down before whining to The Guardian about how 'furious' they are 👇

Maybe The Guardian should consider promoting the position of leaseholders ahead of developers who caused the

Moving Home with Charlie And another thing many people aren't aware of: if you are forced to sell a SO flat to a cash buyer below valuation, you'll not only be in negative equity on your % share but you will *also* have to cover any loss on the housing association's % share.

Yes, really.

No tomato shortage here - but I’m in Kherson, a frontline Ukrainian city that gets shelled by the Russians daily, not a British supermarket.

It's not just Managing Agents and Freeholders that are exploiting leaseholders. Housing Associations like Moat add a *further* 5% uplift on top of the insurance we pay (+ 5% uplift on top of the insurance commissions we already pay to Freeholder!

My situation update: I tried to staircase my property last year and estuary housing refused on the basis that the valuation was too low. As many of you know the HA have no legal write to object , it is both in the lease and a requirement of their funding that valuations even if

End Our Cladding Scandal BBC Morning Live Thanks for reporting on this BBC Morning Live and covering some of the issues. 'stuck' and 'limbo' don't fully reflect the unprecedented hell we are expected to live in for years on end and the spiraling costs we are trapped with. It is mental torture.

Dame Meg Hillier is worried about developers going bust.

The Labour Party Is she also worried about leaseholders going bankrupt and losing their homes because of the crippling costs of the building safety crisis?

👀... Did the Moat media team send a statement to Charlotte Duck without checking with their sales team what the actual policy says?

What is the prevalent position in your membership National Housing Federation?

I think first-time buyers ought to know, don't you? 👇

Housing Associations regularly seem to say one thing to their tenants and something else to media and politicians. There has been several stories demonstrating this just in the last couple of days.

This game-playing needs to stop, it's ruining lives.
