Obviously class is only one of the under-represented groups in the entertainment industry - but if people don’t have access to this business or are discouraged by lack of representation then you have to ask yourself where is future generations’ entertainment going to come from?

Goodness me… we are so bereft of music these days. Look at all those operas!!

When most jobs aren't advertised and who you know is more important than who you are, working class creatives always lose out. Especially right now when there are so few opportunities to go around. Those of us who made it in are falling back out.

What this stupid headline misses is that audiences for classical music and opera are actually UP! (101% since 2019) but I guess that’s an inconvenient fact. Might people actually *clutches pearls “like” classical music? God forbid!
