We are very sorry to hear that Péter Eötvös has died. We had a long and fruitful relationship with the great Hungarian composer and conductor, Principal Guest Conductor of the BBC SO from 1985-1988. His concerts with the BBC SO were always special and he will be sadly missed.

A huge thank you to conductor Clemens Schuldt, superb soloist Esther Yoo, and congratulations to composer Raymond Yiu on the world premiere of his powerful new Violin Concerto Barbican Centre tonight.
