Brilliant to hear Gavin Higgins Concerto Grosso for Brass Band & Orchestra with The National Youth Orchestra & The National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain at Southbank Centre tonight. Gavin describes this as a love letter to Brass Band Music and the communities they are drawn from.

This weekend, young conductor and 2023 Classic FM rising star Tess Jackson has been invited to conduct Classic FM’s Orchestra of Teenagers, The National Youth Orchestra. She'll conduct Gavin Higgin’s Concerto Grosso for Brass Band and Orchestra in a concert led by Jessica Cottis.

This weekend, NYO's Associate Conductor Tess Jackson has been invited to conduct Gavin Higgins Concerto Grosso. Her affinity with young musicians will be demonstrated as she leads 150 musicians from NYO and The National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain.
