- Stop talking about “getting people into work”
- The DWP hasn’t worried about “unnecessary assessment” before now
- For “treatment” (if that’s even relevant) we need a properly funded and supported NHS

Today, DAN folk are joining Not Dead Yet UK folk to protest for our right to ASSISTED LIVING and dignity IN LIFE.

We can't trust this, or the next govt to preserve our still-shrinking right to support while they can send us to death clinics.

Record numbers of disabled people are waiting for Access to Work grants which funds office adaptations, equipment and travel assistance. These waiting times can cost people jobs and come at a time where people with are already struggling to make ends meet. mirror.co.uk/news/politics/…

Strange to be opening a play which makes the radical proposal that people with learning disabilities are people just like the rest of us in the week that the government has decided to dehumanise them more than ever.

Let’s clarify: I am in work, as a disabled person and I am claiming PIP to enable me to be in work! I have a job and I claim PIP to help with extra costs of being disabled. Can news outlets get this right? #Yorkshire

It punishes disabled people for living in a non-accessible, ableist world in which we incur huge extra costs just because of how our bodies & minds work. It’s so enraging to hear politicians get info so wrong & not be challenged on it because the journalists don’t know either!

Does it bother you that the UK government treats disabled people like children? Why not?
