This afternoon, we were delighted to be joined by Baroness Rosalind Scott and to have formally received our Accredited status for Britten and Pears' archive at The Red House by The National Archives.
A national recognition we are honoured and proud of receiving.
Exciting news. So pleased for Andrew and for my wonderful Britten Pears Arts colleagues. The next chapter for this very special organisation will soon be written.
This really is a special place to perform🙂We are back Snape Maltings tonight for a sold out concert. Rehearsals are underway and we can’t wait to see all 812 of you later for the concert 👏
Such a joy to be in Snape maltings today! With such strong childhood memories of the place, it's magic to be singing here for the first time, especially as it's with The Sixteen. Back to St Mary Magdalen Oxford tomorrow.
The Concert Hall was filled with enchanting French music this evening performed by The Sixteen, including Duruflé’s beautiful and moving Requiem.
A colourful and elegant performance to wrap up this year's Friday Lunchtime Concert series at Orford Church this afternoon by Quatuor Van Kuijk. A heartwarming start to the Easter weekend.
'Will the Minister commit to reviewing and reversing this damaging and neglectful approach to our arts and cultural industries?'
Yesterday Lord Bassam (Steve Bassam) challenged the government on their view that arts subjects are 'not a strategic priority.'
Excited to celebrate the genius that is Benjamin Britten on this new album with Sir Simon Rattle and London Symphony Orchestra ..out soon ❤️
“The current criteria for Arts Council England’s ‘Let’s Create’ policy are problematic for most classical music organisations…Hopefully the current review of ACE…will also address these genuine worries for the future of classical music funding.” theguardian.com/music/2024/mar…
