The Philharmonia Orchestra welcomes the Chancellor’s announcement that Orchestra Tax Relief (OTR) will become permanent at a higher rate in today’s Spring Budget statement following the collective case made by the Association of British Orchestras (ABO).

Today's news means that Orchestra Tax Relief will help us keep boosting local children's education with music, play in halls across the region and deliver real benefits to the North East economy.

That’s what the government is recognising, and why we are thankful.

We are pleased that the higher rate Orchestra Tax Relief rate has become permanent and are grateful to the Government for extending this vital boost to the UK’s orchestras.
The ABO has played a crucial role in advocating for our sector, and the RPO send grateful thanks.
