Today Fergal Mythen - Ambassador of Ireland to the UN participated in the first intergovernmental negotiations on #UNSC reform of 2024. 🇮🇪 stands ready to work toward a more representative, transparent, accountable & effective #UNSC. At today's Arria on peacebuilding, Fergal Mythen - Ambassador of Ireland to the UN highlighted the need to: 🔹Adopt a comprehensive approach to peace 🔹Tackle root causes and invest in prevention 🔹Empower people, especially women and youth 🔹Manage transitions and strengthen the Peacebuilding Commission
