Spring ringing on Gibraltar is about quality. Wryneck, Woodchat Shrike, Melodious, Orphean and Bonelli’s Warbler, Tree Pipit and Redstart. What a morning ! @gonhs #gibraltar #birdringing
This Alpine Swift was brought into #jewsgatefieldcentre this morning. Much larger than expected with needle like claws. Quickly ringed by us and released by the guys at the raptor rehabilitation unit GONHS Gibraltar
This Robust Tabby (Pandesma robusta) trapped today at Jew’s Gate, #Gibraltar is slighty fresher than Portland Bird Observatory from October 22 GONHS Gibraltar

After ringing Isabelline and Northern a few days ago, I completed the migrant Wheatear “trifecta” with this 1st winter male Pied earlier today. #nguliaringing Martin Cade
Sure A Rocha Kenya will have a fuller report on events but propitious conditions last night dropped plenty of migrants at Ngulia safari Lodge to keep #nguliaringing busy: 459 ringed at night and another 602 this morning.
Day one of #nguliaringing in Tsavo West, Kenya. No big falls but some lovely local afrotropical birds including this smart #bare -eyedthrush Martin Cade
Now in the Taita Hills, Kenya and all three endemics ticked off. I asked Martin Cade for a blue, green, yellow and red bird and he duly obliged. Have a go at naming the species.
