So many providers have had enough of the administration burden forced on them because of department bureaucracy. We are 💯 saying no to Chart of accounts. The cost and time it will take has to be taken into consideration. NO NO NO The Federation of Early Childhood Providers Roderic O’Gorman TD @dcediy ISME

Elaine Dunne Federation Early Childhood Providers The Federation of Early Childhood Providers Roderic O’Gorman TD @dcediy ISME If the Department implement this latest strategy then it will signal the end for many small rural settings. Why is a certified set of accounts that are submitted and accepted by Revenue not enough. There does appear to be hidden agendas here.

Have providers seen Roderic O’Gorman TD's email today,Elaine Dunne Federation Early Childhood Providers ?? 50% of staff holding degrees, and all Afterschool staff fully qualified by 2028?? How deluded is he re the staffing crisis? Even level 5 staff are fleeing the sector...

The Federation of Early Childhood Providers. All of our members will continue to say no to this chart of accounts. There must be a transitioning period. Training must be given We will not be shopping around for new accountants to do this work. We are happy with the accountants we have ISME

PEIN First 5 Ireland @dcediy Why are you destroying early year services piling on admin with zero supports. Utube videos are not a support system. Extra admin is extra costs as it needs staff & not those working with the child & the child's fees shouldn't need to pay extra accounting fees. The Federation of Early Childhood Providers

To be clear as an ECEC (Early Year) provider the only group representing my service at the table is The Federation of Early Childhood Providers they are the only group who have consulted with members sending surveys, having group chats and meetings listening & hearing the voices on the ground @dcediy

@dcediy National Childhood Network Roderic O’Gorman TD Small to medium services are so chronically underfunded that many will collapse over the next 2 years. Offering us 50% building grants is pointless. These grants will mostly benefit large services and chains who are already creaming in the profits. Read the room! Noel Chambers @dcediy National Childhood Network Roderic O’Gorman TD Elaine Dunne Federation Early Childhood Providers It's ONLY the large creches that this will benefit, projects of €50,000 - €100,000 are the only ones to be considered. With Providers matching Gov. fund amount. The next stage is €100,000- €500,000,same condition attached. It's so obvious he wants to close small providers

Siobhan @dcediy National Childhood Network Roderic O’Gorman TD Elaine Dunne Federation Early Childhood Providers There’s very few small providers will invest further family/pension money into an expansion plan, even with 50% Gov co-funding, when it’s quite obvious the minister is actively closing them all down through chronic underfunding.

@dcediy Roderic O’Gorman TD Unfortunately this does nothing to retain current places. Increasing new places while watching current places buckle is futile. Losing experienced providers & staff to other sectors as once services close most will leave the insecurity in the sector is too much yrs in crisis

sharononeill (@sharononeill3) 's Twitter Profile Photo

@dcediy Roderic O’Gorman TD We don't need support organisations, we need proper funding for fair wages. We need to pay & keep good educators in the sector. The rest is just useless fluff. Sort the big issues on the ground the rest can be done after. Elaine Dunne Federation Early Childhood Providers The Federation of Early Childhood Providers

SIPTU - The Early Years Union Simon Harris TD High quality services are closing because of chronic underfunding. We have been fighting this for years. This sector is already publicly funded and this just shows Core Funding isn’t working. Providers are not at fault here. It is policy failure. The Federation of Early Childhood Providers
