This. This is what support looks like. When your Supt stops by to check in on your school & he jumps in to fix the chairs in your office. In the middle of a pandemic, in the middle of a staffing shortage, when he just subbed for a classroom teacher. Grateful for servant leaders.

We have the most amazing teachers at Roadrunner. Every single kid got a personalized, hand-written note from their teacher waiting for them on their desk when they had a sub today.💜 Courtney Mallada

My daughter came home from preschool with some mysterious items in her backpack which apparently were “special gifts from my best friend.” Because nothing says friendship like a pair of red socks and an old watch. I just love kids. 💜

"It sounds like the pain you feel isn't coming from the fact that you're considering leaving teaching, but rather that you've lost something you once loved tremendously and can't figure out how to find your way back." On trying to love teaching again: teacher-totter.blogspot.com/2023/01/redisc…

🧵 Anytime I work with a district to support grading and assessment practices, inevitably one of the first questions they want to know is how to start introducing standards-based grading to their team. My answer: Well, first, don’t open with “standards-based grading.” 1/
