Lynne Guyton Nothing can justify perpetuating this fundraising strategy. Leasehold is unethical wealth extraction. It has no place in today's society. You should have moved away from it but chose not to. Using your beneficiaries to plead for exemptions is, frankly, a new low. Do better.

Seems to be a huge disconnect between what the government promised on leasehold, the time line etc and what they seem prepared to do. This sort of performative government erodes confidence and trust.

This is as unethical as it gets. It is wealth extraction from the most financially vulnerable would-be homeowners. Unfortunately Matthew Pennycook MP and Angela Rayner want to fund more shared ownership homes, which will trap thousands more in unfair & exploitative contracts.
