A stressful morning at work led me to get out for a run at lunchtime. I’m so lucky this is seconds from my door.

25 minutes later (plus a shower) & I was ready to be module lead on our post graduate course in reducing restrictive interventions.

Then off to pick Zoey up. She made it to the top of Souter lighthouse for the first time, we had a snack…..we are meant to be shopping but Zoey needed a power nap 😴

Today I started with a 10k run that was harder than it should have been, then out for an afternoon walk with my partner in crime.

Signing off on an awful week that saw me lose a very dear friend.

People that know me will not be surprised that I almost doubled my exercise on the week before.

Exercise is an important wellness tool for me & I use it well

This week has been shit. I lost a really close friend to a freak accident and work has been draining my emotional reserves.

On the positive side, I’ve embraced the people I love and made sure I’ve exercised to increase my endorphins.

I did cry in the bath too 🤷‍♂️

Yesterday I found out a very close friend had died suddenly. Today I made sure I told the people I love that I love them.

The fragility of life lays itself bare sometimes.

I’m grateful she got to see Thomas & I once as official son & father. Her pride was so evident 💔
