No memorial tree for me. I'll put that in my will. Nothing sadder than a neglected memorial tree. This is Wellesley Pk but its common in every park . TREES TO PLEASE 311 Toronto City of Toronto PFR please ask staff to cut these girdling bags off & open bag .Urban Forest Crimes Kristyn Wong-Tam 🇨🇦
Thank you. I hope you have better success than I do . I don’t think a single “complaint” I’ve made this year has been acted on. Happy to be wrong about that. I know TREES TO PLEASE is stretched but it is about the trees isn’t it? Urban Forest Crimes Ontario Urban Forest Council LEAF Oakvillegreen
Hey Friends of Monarch Park . Who is volcano mulching your trees? Volcano mulching kills trees and is a bad example for the neighbourhood . You might be stuck with the planting you get but mulching can be remedied. Paula Fletcher City of Toronto PFR Urban Forest Crimes Ontario Urban Forest Council Park People / Ami·es des parcs

Condo trees have the worst luck . Token greening done by incompetents. Construction grade soil. Indifferent mgmt and boards who don't realize that trees aren't annuals. Lost opportunities. Why doesn't TREES TO PLEASE care ? Urban Forest Crimes Landscape Ontario Horticultural Trades Association Condominium Authority of Ontario ACMO 3/3
Condo developers are among the worst re tree planting & maint. on the property, & the street allowance)-which I believe the city assumes > 2 yrs. I wave at the security cameras & cut girdling ties. What a waste. Good intentions maybe . Poor results definitely. Urban Forest Crimes `
Please don’t use strimmers or weed whackers near trees. Mulch would be better at weed suppression & much cheaper than replacing the tree. Trees Of Edinburgh
Andrew Heald #shamelessplug 63% of surveyed trees in our study showed damage resulting from trimmers doi.org/10.1016/j.ufug… Mulch and training of lawncare staff are critical for protecting these trees
Andrew Heald justin morgenroth tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10… another paper, in which some grounds maintenance operatives, when questioned anonymously, admitted to causing strimmer damage to trees EVERY DAY
Walking has been a lifesaver over the past 18 months. But if you care about trees it's a sad reality check on the state of the UF. Last nights walk : 1)Many building sites-but not a single TPZ 2) High correlation between new builds & dead/dying trees. Brad Bradford 311 Toronto
