Having got my first moth trap in 2018, this morning I caught my 500th macro species: Little Thorn. What it's doing out in Devon in August I don't know, but thanks to UK Moth Identification for reassuring me I wasn't hallucinating (as well as years of generous ID help). Onwards... #TeamMoth

Wednesday’s ‘good sized colony’ of Clitostethus arcuatus (Horseshoe Ladybird) was blown way out of the water this afternoon, when I found in excess of 70! It was absolutely extraordinary! Think there’s around 45 just in my tray (+ a pupa & seeds!) #VC40Ladybirds #MicroLadybird
