Ed Davey, "Elon Musk has applied to sell energy in this country" "When someone is calling for the overthrow of a democratically elected government, we should take that seriously" "I don't think Elon Musk is a fit and proper person for us to do business with"

Google data centres coming to Hertfordshire?! Sounds a lot like the final nail in an already well-nailed coffin for the local chalk streams. Or will the water be sucked out of the Thames at Teddington for it under Thames Water’s current plans? Keep your beady eyes on this.

Prominent figures in the US & UK deliberately talk down our country & capital city. Yet the latest evidence is clear: a record number of US citizens are now applying for UK citizenship. For many Americans I speak with, it’s because of our values. theguardian.com/politics/2025/…

The Times called it clearly: work rights for asylum seekers are “humane and beneficial for all concerned.” Our debate has moved in the wrong direction — we need to return to a more humane, just path. #AsylumJustice #RightToWork

Such horrible cruelty in the name of scientific progress In 1963, a five-pound tuxedo cat named Félicette became the first — and only — cat ever sent to space. Launched by French scientists, she spent 15 minutes in orbit before returning safely to Earth, only to be euthanized

Sewage gushing into what should be the protected rivers of our national parks at twice the rate elsewhere. Worst affected are Dartmoor, the South Downs, the Broads & Eryri. share.google/oNkOZrZXTOwe1n…

watershed_investigations Add to this, if a sewage plant serves under 2000 people, as is the case in lots of rural areas, the law says sewage only has to be treated once - which isn't enough to remove all 'organic matter' 🤢 If you live in a place with over 2000 people, your sewage should be treated

watershed_investigations Alistair Boxall Prof Alex Ford Phoebe Weston Even tertiary treatment isn't enough to remove PFAS from water. Swiss water authorities, join others across the world in calling for a ban on PFAS production - explaining it's so difficult, expensive & energy intensive to remove, the only realistic way to prevent PFAS pollution

Oh no! I think I’ve left my leather satchel and laptop on an Overground train (Hounslow to Victoria) that I exited at Vauxhall at about 14.20. It has my MacBook in it. I don’t expect a miracle but I guess saying it out loud here is all I can do. It has lots of my work on it :(
